Tell us more about your agricultural experiences:
  • My family homesteaded in Lakewood CO. I was blessed to grow up on 8 acres in the city where we kept horses and cut 5 acres of an alfalfa/timothy/broome mix. As an adult my husband and I started a large garden (. 5 acres) at our house down the road. When we out grew that space my family allowed us to lease an acre of the homestead where we grew mostly greens, roots and brassicas. We soon leased an additional 18 acres from a developer next door and took over operations on the family land bringing us up to 25ish acres of hay, pasture and veggies with milking and meat goats, chickens, turkeys, horses and a cart pony! We ran Everitt Farms for 5 years. We also have a pumpkin patch and Christmas tree lot on the farm that we will continue running.
How many acres are you currently farming/ranching? 25
Please briefly describe what you grow or raise currently: Diversified farm growing mixed veg, along with perennial food forests where we run chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens and turkeys in a pasture rotation.
